Requested contribution to organisers:

For every hour we spend organising this camp we have an hour less available to be earning a living. We are organising this camp because we want to see NVC consciousness growing in the world (especially Wales) and we also value our own nurturance and sustainability...
To contribute to a sustainable camp we are requesting a donation towards the organisers'** time of between £20 and £100 per adult.

** The organisers are:
Penny Spawforth, Certified Trainer (www.pennyspawforth.com)
Peter Kinsey  (www.kinseyconnections.co.uk - not yet active)

Why are we doing things this way?
For clarity and transparency we want to divide the cost of camp into the basic expenses (eg costs of land, venue hire, food, chef, our fuel expenses etc. And we would like the 'cost' of time and the effort of the organisers to be recognised and supported too; in the spirit of NVC we want this to be a 'power-with' engagement, we want to ask and receive contributions that are sustainable for you too.

* If the cost we are asking would prohibit you from coming we are open to discussing this with you - depending on numbers of full paying people, we may be able to allow one or two reduced places too...
In previous years the camp has generated a small surplus.  We are happy about this because any shortfall would land with the organisers. At the same time we are not wanting to generate 'profit'.  A small float of a few hundred pounds is useful to meet set-up costs (the first year the organisers underwrote these costs).  For transparency we want to clarify that any surplus from this camp will be used in one of four ways: a) as a float for future camp set-up costs, b) to underwrite contributions to the organiser's time set at £700 each, c) to purchase camp equipment (eg a P.A. system), d) to enable low income people to attend this or other NVC events.  The organisers will decide on which of these categories the surplus will be spent and the amounts, where that is not stated.
